  • 45 US dollars

Service Description

Join me at the "Along the Cimarron" Scientific Illustration Workshop! We will be looking at Floral specimens and learning how to draw them. First, scientific illustration is not merely about creating aesthetically pleasing art. It's about observing and understanding the intricacies of nature’s designs. Flowers and plants, in their endless variety, offer a beautiful challenge. They have evolved over millions of years to be as efficient and as attractive (to pollinators) as possible. By learning to illustrate them, you're not just copying what you see; you're interpreting complex biological structures, understanding why they exist, and how they function. It’s a beautiful way to connect with the natural world. This knowledge can deepen your appreciation for your subjects and inform your illustrations, making them more accurate and insightful. Drawing Materials will be provided. Feel free to bring your own if you have any special materials you prefer to make art with. Such as pencils, pens, markers, paper or sketchbooks. This workshop is open to ages 15+
